Before you begin setting up your range extender, you’ll need to arrange for certain equipment and details:
- Make sure you have the main router’s network SSID and password.
- Keep some ethernet cables handy, so you can use them for making wired connections between devices.
- Ensure you have the details related to the extender’s default admin username and password handy.
Once you have these details, proceed with finding an appropriate location for your extender to be installed at. The best location for your extender is usually between the wireless router and the location where you wish to use the internet at.
After you have confirmed the location, proceed with connecting your devices. Plug in your range extender to the power outlet and turn on the power supply. Allow the extender to power on and the LEDs on the extender panel to display their respective status.
